It's hard to believe this little mama's mom & I were friends at this age. She is one of my oldest friends & I am so honored to be a part of her life after all these years. (& man, it's a lot of years!) Here is adorable mariah on her 1st birthday, looking exactly like her mom.

I can't believe this little monkey is 1 year already. It seems like just yesterday we were shooting his newborn photos. Scroll though to see a behind the scenes video at the end. 
A little behind the scenes video courtesy of dad :) I had the pleasure of photographing one of my dear friends 2nd baby girl. It's taken me some time to post this, but I'm finally getting around to it. :) Baby girl Riley, she is just the sweetest thing. 
And a few maternity shots we took just days before her arrival. 
So, we were at the park the other day for a maternity shoot for my sister. And of course there's always time for some fun, especially with kids around. "Run away from daddy like your scared a monster is chasing you." This is what I told my son and these are the reactions i got from him. lol his facial expressions say it all. (and mike doesn't make a bad monster either ;) I could use any one of these to fill in the dinosaur photo and i think it's hysterical       This little sweet pea came to my studio last year for his newborn photoshoot, and just the other day he turned ONE! It's amazing how fast time flies!! 
So I usually ask the mamas if there's anything in particular the child likes - a favorite song or tv show - anything to get them relaxed, happy and in a good mood. (although he didn't need any help because he came in all smiles!) So mama tells me he loves the theme song to the wendy williams show! haha So we found it on youtube and don't you know he started dancing right away! Whatever works right?!! :) We got such a kick out of it! 
i love when we do a shoot that's a little different than usual. and when baby sleeps - we can play! And it's just a bonus that we were able to get baby's fur-sister in on some photos as well. After all, she IS the big sis! She was such a good girl for the entire shoot, & never made a peep. 
I've photographed this beautiful little mama so many times before & now she's a big sister! 
I had the opportunity to do an amazing in- home session with one amazing family. We even got the cat & dog in on it!! Such a beautiful home. I couldn't stop admiring every room, every little piece of furniture & every nicknack around the house was truly unique. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your beautiful family, & for trusting me with this most precious time of your baby's life. :)                        I had such an awesome time getting to know this family. The bond between them & the love they have for one another was so amazing to see, you can just feel their laughter in the photos. 
I was so excited when my childhood friend asked me to photograph her daughter's 2nd birthday. After all, this little peanut here was the very first newborn I photographed 2 years ago when I started misslalaphotography :) My has she grown! (check out her newborn photo at the bottom)
